FUNERAL ARRANGER / CONDUCTOR – Brisbane

We have a vacancy for a full time Funeral Arranger / Conductor, This full time position will suit a person with good administrative and clerical experience. Little or no previous knowledge of the funeral profession is necessary.  Experienced individuals are also welcome to apply.

While the primary role of this position is to conduct arrangement interviews with clients, it does also involve all funeral duties including conducting and attending funeral services.

The successful candidate will possess all of the following:

• must be an outgoing, sensible, good natured with a high level of fitness and the ability to work in a team environment
• mature and caring outlook
• have excellent administrative and customer service skills
• excellent written and oral communication skills, especially with the elderly members of the community
• a full, clean open drivers licence
• have their own car
• be a committed team player
• have the ability and availability to work on an after-hours roster – approx 1 week in every 3 or 4 including weekends and public holidays
• the ability to work professionally with a wide variety of people and cultures, showing respect and empathy

FUNERAL / MORTUARY ASSISTANT – Brisbane

A Brisbane Funeral company has a vacancy for a full time Funeral / Mortuary Assistant, this full time position will suit a person with little or no previous knowledge of the funeral profession.  Experienced individuals are also welcome to apply.

The role involves:

• Assisting with the transfer of deceased persons
• Providing mortuary assistance
• Learning to prepare the deceased
• Helping to dress and casket deceased
• Trimming and preparing caskets
• Assisting Funeral Directors at funeral services
• Cleaning hearses and transfer vehicles
• General assistance around the funeral home

CASUAL FUNERAL DIRECTOR

Alex Gow Funerals are looking for a casual Funeral Director.

We require a sensible, good natured person with a high level of fitness and strength and able to work in a team environment. The successful applicant must be a mature and caring person who is able to communicate with the elderly members of the community and hold a current open drivers license.

The position requires some participation in an on-call after-hour’s roster program which can include weekends and public holidays.
